Opalex: Bond Protector with Straightening (10/10) **Best Bond Treatment/Straightening/Light Weight Styling

The No. 6 Bond Smoother & No. 7 Bonding Oil are the real MVPs. My hair was as light as a feather and smooth afterwards and did not feel weighed down even after using a moderate to liberal amount of product. I had one of the smoothest blowouts next to the IGK. Again, my cons are: this stuff is expensive.  Pros: After using the treatment system No. 3-5, I could definitely see a better curl pattern. (I did have a trim since using the IGK system) At the completion of my hair I felt I wanted more oil or sheen but then after unwrapping my hair for day 2 it gave a nice light weight feel and my side-sweep-bang looked amazing and not weighed down.

Day 3

I really like the light airy feeling my hair has with this line. I did decide to add some LIGHT smoothing oil on day 3.

Systems I am considering next:

Mizani Press Agent System w/Leave in Miracle Milk

Chi Silk System

Fantasia Frizz Ease Serum (stand alone with heat protectant)

Carol's Daughter: Goddess Strength on 4A hair (9/10)

So I believe Sarah has 4A hair. We decided to use this system for a half up and half down look. I shampooed and conditioned then oiled her scalp lightly. I then applied leave-in all over and used a Detangling brush. I pulled the front half into a ponytail with the balm and ORS edge gel. (Balm will only smooth dry edges). I then added defining cream to the back half and ponytail while wet using a denman like brush. At night the back half were put into 4 braids and the ponytail into 3 braids after lightly misting with water. Then a silk cap at night. The next day I lightly sprayed the braids with water and then rubbed light oil on my hands. After taking each braid loose I misted her hair with water if needed and applied a dime sized amount of curl defining cream using the praying method. I did this to all 7 braids and pulled hair apart as needed. I DID NOT use a comb. Once dry the hair had a nice touchable hold.

Next Day

Day 3

I gave 9/10 only because the balm did not have a strong enough hold for her edges.

IGK Good Behavior: Sleek Squad Straightening & Anti Frizz (9/10) **Best Anti-Frizz

IGK had a sale so I bought almost the entire Good Behavior set during a black Friday event. I saw a you-tube video of this product used on ethnic hair and was amazed. The Spirulina Protein Smoothing Blowout Balm and Spray along with the Crybaby Supreme Seal Anti-Frizz Serum are the real MVPs. My hair was as light as a feather and smooth afterwards and did not feel weighed down even after using a moderate to liberal amount of product. I had the smoothest blowout using the Blowout Balm. Again, my cons are: having to use so many expensive products and my hair feeling way more smoother than it looked(maybe my hair needed more sheen, I find myself re-applying the serum daily). I still going to work with this system because I absolutely LOVE the way my hair FEELS.

The Doux: Press Play (Thermal Straightening System 3 weeks) 9/10 **Best Silk and Smoothing

The Doux site had a sale so I bought the entire Press Play Thermal set including the foam wrap which is not pictured. The first time I tried the system I was following what one of their models did in a video. She used the Doux drops at the end AFTER flat ironing. Not sure what temp she used but I used 419 the first time and my hair was very frizzy after a few minutes. I changed the order a little the second time around to give it another try and increased the temp to 455 degrees. The Doux Drops is the real MVP. My hair was nice and smooth afterwards and did not feel weighed down even after using a liberal amount of product. My only con is the fact that you have to use so many products not counting the bonding shampoo or conditioner and they are expensive.

Upkeep: Wrap hair with doobie wrap and wear silk cap at night for bedtime

Day 1:

Doobie Wrap for bedtime. (you can tie a SILK scarf, turban or adjustable cap over the top of the doobie wrap, depends on how crazy you sleep) I tried to tie a silk scarf around my head but it gave me a headache so I use an adjustable silk turban instead. (it took two wears for the doobie wrap to loosen it up around my head, so no headache or tightness now). I would like this line to additionally have some type of holding finishing spray

I also did my oldest daughter's hair.
